What This Phase Is For
Behavioral Stability focuses on whether a dog can use what they already know when life becomes inconvenient, uncomfortable, or unpredictable.
This phase is not just about adding skills. It is about making behavior hold up.
Why This Phase Exists
As dogs mature, behavior often shifts. Independence increases. Confidence rises. Physical intensity grows. Emotional responses become stronger.
When things feel harder instead of easier, it is not you—it is a developmental reality.
Without the right support, small cracks become entrenched patterns.
Behavioral Stability exists to close that gap early.
WHAT WE WORK ON
Placement & Readiness
Behavioral Stability is appropriate for dogs who:
—> Know basic skills but struggle to use them under pressure
—> Become louder, faster, or less predictable as complexity increases
—> Recover slowly after stimulation
—> Show behavioral shifts during adolescence or increased independence
Dogs of many ages belong here.
Where This Leads
Behavioral Stability creates the conditions required for true reliability.
For many teams, this phase resolves what were labeled “training problems”—not by adding control, but by stabilizing the system underneath behavior.
Most training assumes behavior will hold as dogs mature.
Behavioral Stability exists for when it doesn’t.
